I Was Where You Are Right Now!

Coaching wasn’t a known entity when I started my first business as a relationship counselor. At that time I thought it was all about hard work and luck.  I was fortunate to be referred a client in the entertainment industry and from there the ball rolled. Within six weeks I had developed a full practice of mostly A list stars and directors. I was on call 24/7, worked my butt off and still didn’t have financial freedom!  It wasn’t about hard work and luck!

I finally realized that what I really wanted was to earn more, work less andstill be doing something I was passionate about which wasn’t happening.  I was just getting more and more exhausted.   Things weren’t really moving forward they were stagnating! 

After 7 years in practice I was diagnosed with a medical condition that started making huge holes in what I was earning and because I didn’t understand money I was getting into debt.  I was in my mid 40’s and I was afraid I would end up like a bag lady!

I wasn’t willing to show the people who said I couldn’t be successful that I wasn’t so I changed tactics. I decided I needed to do some learning about money, business and success.   As many weekends as possible within my budget, I started taking all the workshops I could afford and I read every personal and professional book I could find.

I went and listened to just about everyone in the success and personal development field especially people who were now making millions!

And got even more confused!  Until, one day I realized I was spending thousands of dollars becoming a workshop junkie thinking it would solve all my problems!

It didn’t………I was just accumulating more and more paper, books and information.  I had gained some wonderful mentors and fantastic information, now I needed to find a way to use it without creating more work for myself.

I started meditating and using visualization.  Here I was a Certified Master Clinical Hypnotherapist teaching other people to do this who became highly successful and not fully using it myself.        I started to get in touch with myself on a deeper level. I started to really walk my talk.     I learned many tough things about myself during that time, especially my relationship with money.

Then one day in 1997 I overheard someone talking about coaching and I knew exactly what I needed to do.

I re-trained and got my coaching certification.  9 years after I opened my practice, I closed the doors and started all over again.  I was now in my 50’s.  It took me another few years to put all the things I had learned and was still learning in place to create a process that I could use for myself (and with clients) so my life and business would run calmly, smoothly and successfully as well as making money.  One of the first things I did when I started my coaching business was to hire my own coach.

People Told Me I Was Too Old, It Was Too Late, I Couldn’t Do It -  I Did.  And, YOU Can To!

Never listen to naysayers, it’s never too late, you’re never too old and you can absolutely do anything you really want to.
